Retro: Doom Game Walkthroughs

Game Over Mania presents today the Doom game solutions released in 1995 on Playstation 1 or PSX for thirties… Doom is made up of 59 levels (of which 5 are secret) divided into two episodes: the first of 30 maps, and the second of 24 maps. Episode 1 is actually a diligent selection of levels from Ultimate Doom (the PC version of the game). 

Doom is a first person shooter. You play as a Space Marine who has been sentenced to forced labor on the red planet but the latter is invaded by creatures from hell following several scientific experiments. Finding himself alone in the human base, he tries to survive by eliminating all the monsters around him. Classic among the classics, Doom remains a benchmark of the genre (Doomlike) he helped to create. In 1995, Doom marked the entry of a new era, that of 3D in video games, which he inherited from his close cousin Wolfenstein 3D from the same creators. Even today, its name is recognized and although it is now surpassed by thousands of others technologically, no game has been able to really recreate what the Doom era could have created.

So much for game solutions Doom. Many will argue that porting Doom to PlayStation is the best of adaptations… And that's good, it gives a good reason to replay it, even when you are very familiar with the original episodes on PC. Take advantage of the retouched level design (the lights in particular, with new effects) playing considerably on contrasts and stress zones in the dark, its exclusive soundtrack, and secret levels.
